More than $812 million worth of crypto futures positions have been liquidated as Bitcoin broke below the $46,000 mark. 87% of the liquidations came from long positions, betting on upward price movement.

Crypto exchange OKEx alone was responsible for $241 million of the liquidations, with Binance also accounting for $236 million. Behind Bitcoin liquidations, Ethereum positions also saw $164 million in liquidations.

China’s biggest messaging app and popular payments tool, WeChat, has announced that it will begin supporting the country’s central bank digital currency (CBDC).
