👉 Andreessen Horowitz to Raise $450m for New Crypto Fund
Venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz have announced that they intend to raise $450 million for a new cryptocurrency investment fund, their second in the space.
The company already raised $350 million for their first crypto fund two years ago, which has invested in blockchain-focused start-ups.
👉 Chinese Bank Launches Central Bank Digital Currency Test App
The Agricultural Bank of China, a state-owned bank, has released a mobile phone app which supports the country’s pending central bank digital currency (CBDC).
Currently, the app’s digital currency services appear to only be accessible by whitelisted participants. The bank is one of the companies approved by the People’s Bank of China in 2019 to pilot the CBDC.
👉 Lawsuit Filed Against Maker Foundation for Losses in Crash
A lawsuit has been filed against the Maker Foundation, on behalf on investors who lost their funds in the March 12 market crash dubbed “Black Thursday”.
The lawsuit claims that the Maker foundation intentionally misrepresented the risks associated with the ownership of collateralized debt positions (CDPs) on the platform. More than $8 million of investor funds were lost as a result of the market crash.
