It’s another day mostly in the green for the cryptocurrency market. Key players Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP are up by 1.40%, 1.26%, and 0.35% respectively, to continue this week’s calm, upwards trajectory.

Unfortunately, a handful of the more major altcoins — such as Stellar, Monero, TRON, and VeChain — are grinding against the trend, either not moving at all or receding a few percent in towards the end of this week.

There are a handful of cryptocurrency media channels these days, but — quite surprisingly — some of the best are YouTube channels and various podcasts.

A big favorite on the Apple podcast store is “Off the Chain”, which had become the fourth most popular podcast in their investing category before Apple abruptly removed the program from their store. Since then, Apple has restored the program, but it’s still unclear as to exactly why it was removed.

Gavin Newsom is a democrat politician known especially for accepting Bitcoin in his political campaigns since as early as 2014 — we think this earns him the title of an “early adopter.”

Well, he’s just been elected as Governor of California, at age 51, although the option of crypto donations has been removed for fear of regulatory uncertainty.

Swift rejects Ripple integration rumors

Swift is a global payment network that facilitates a huge number of inter-bank transactions. They’ve been in the news this month for both updates to their existing protocol and the release of a new, upgraded system called “Swift gpi.”

With Ripple recently attending a Swift conference in Sydney, Australia, there have been rumors of collaboration. However, Swift has rejected any rumors suggesting they may be collaborating with Ripple or implementing their RippleNet payment system.
