👉 Binance Users Withdraw 3,400 BTC Within 24 Hours Of Lawsuit

Binance users have withdrawn over 3,400 Bitcoin (worth $91.5 million) from Binance in 24 hours, following the regulatory violations lawsuit filed by the CFTC against Binance and its CEO, Changpeng Zhao.

CZ denied allegations of market manipulation and sought damage control measures, but investors have started moving assets away from Binance to minimize the impact of a potential shutdown.

Binance’s total Bitcoin balance has reduced while competing exchanges such as Coinbase, Bitfinex, and Gemini have recorded an increase in BTC reserves during the 24-hour timeframe.

👉 EU Lawmakers Vote To Limit Payments On Anonymous Crypto Wallets

Two committees in the European Parliament have voted in favor of imposing limits on payments by unverified crypto users, as part of a larger overhaul of money laundering laws.

The plans, along with measures to prohibit large cash payments and create a new European Union Anti-Money Laundering Agency (AMLA), were approved by the Economics and Civil Liberties committees.

The cap of 1,000 euros won’t apply if a regulated wallet provider is involved or the identity of the payer is known.

Ethereum network upgrade “Shapella” – a combination of the previously discussed Shanghai and Capella upgrades – will take place on April 12th, allowing for staked ether withdrawals for the first time.

The upgrade will happen at network epoch 194,048, and will introduce EIP-4895 to the network. Shapella also includes other network improvements to optimize transaction fees for certain activities.
