👉 Bitcoin Briefly Breaks $11K, Sets New High for 2020
Bitcoin rose 13 percent yesterday, in a run that briefly broke the $11,000 mark and set a new high for the year. The previous 2020 high was set in mid-February, at around $10,500.
Analysts predict the Bitcoin may continue its rally in the near future, with a possibility of breaking the $12,000 mark. Metrics such as the increasing number of Bitcoin addresses support the theory.
👉 Ethereum Competitor Polkadot Raises $43M in Private Token Sale
Polkadot, a blockchain project in competition with Ethereum, has raised $43 million in a private token sale ending this week.
The tokens were reportedly sold for $125 each, in a three-day sale spanning July 24-27. The sale raised almost 4,000 Bitcoin via more than 1,000 transactions.
Polkadot is led by Gavin Wood, an Ethereum co-founder.
👉 China Launches Spin-Off of Telegram’s TON, with Testnet and Airdrop
A Chinese spin-off of Telegram’s failed TON network has launched their own testnet and begun to airdrop tokens.
The project is designed as a continuation of the original TON project, which was abandoned following the loss of an SEC court case earlier this year.
