👉 Bithumb To Block Withdrawals To Unverified External Wallets

South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb is blocking crypto withdrawals to non-verified personal wallets, as part of new know-your-customer (KYC) policies.

Bithumb is the second major exchange in the country to enact the policy, following Coinone. According to Money Today, the exchange was under pressure from its banking provider to comply with the Financial Action Task Force’s Travel Rule.

NFT marketplace OpenSea has announced that it will be reimbursing users who were affected by an exploit of the platform’s user interface, which resulted in the accidental sale of several NFTs well below their market value.

One of the attackers gained more than $800,000 worth of Ether thanks to the exploit, after buying and reselling NFTs from high-value collections.

The Russian Ministry of Finance has taken an opposing stance on crypto to the country’s central bank, which called for a full ban of the financial technology.

Ivan Chebeskov, head of the ministry’s financial policy department, says that it is simple regulation – and not an outright ban – which is needed to protect citizens, but still allow the technology to develop.
