👉 Crypto Volatility Liquidates $230M of BitMEX Positions

$230 million worth of derivatives positions have been liquidated on BitMEX over the last 24 hours, as crypto volatility soars.

Over $220 million of these liquidations came from Bitcoin derivatives, with the share of liquidations almost dead-even between long and short positions.

Bitcoin price action wiped out all of yesterday’s gains in just a matter of minutes, as price returned to the $9,000s.

👉 TRX, DOT, CKB Likely to be Deemed Securities, According to Rating Scores

Preliminary ratings scores by Crypto Rating Council have found that Tron’s TRX, Polkadot’s DOT and Nervos Network’s CKB are more likely to be deemed securities than other major cryptocurrencies.

The assessment was performed in April, with scores yet to be finalized before publishing. Some key events have occurred since the preliminary scoring, including Polkadot’s mainnet launch.

Venezuela’s cryptocurrency superintendent, Joselit de la Trinidad Ramirez Camacho, has been added to The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE’s) “most-wanted” list.

Ramirez Camacho has been accused of having connections to multiple “alleged narcotics kingpins”, and ICE has offered up to $5 million for information that may lead to his apprehension.
