Cryptocurrency derivatives exchange BitMEX has airdropped 1.5 million of its new native token BMEX to users.

The airdrop was based on a user’s previous activity on the exchange and represents just a small fraction of the token’s maximum total supply of 450 million tokens.

BMEX tokens provide users with discounts and other perks when using the exchange.

Hardware wallet provider Trezor has abandoned the Address Ownership Proof Protocol – just a week after it’s integration – citing privacy concerns from users.

The protocol was an automated feature designed to prove address ownership for crypto withdrawals from certain centralized platforms, but was not received well by the community.

NFT trading volumes have reached a new all-time high of a whopping $6.13 billion during the month of January, according to The Block.
