There’s more sideways action into the New Year, as all of yesterday’s upwards progress has since been reversed. While Bitcoin is only down 1.3%, Ethereum and XRP have fallen by 2.4% and 3.2% respectively.

The only top-20 coin in the green (aside from Dollar-pegged stablecoin Tether) is TRON, which is posting rather unimpressive gains of under 2%.

Bitmex is an international cryptocurrency exchange best known for its extensive margin trading possibilities, while The Times newspaper is one of Britain’s best known and respected broadsheet newspapers.
