A Forbes report alleges that BlockFi’s interest accounts are partly powered via the sale of unregistered securities, in violation of securities laws.

South Korea’s central bank has selected internet giant Kakao’s blockchain arm to provide technology for central bank digital currency (CBDC) pilot programs.
The Kakao subsidiary, known as “Ground X”, will become the CBDC’s primary technology supplier for blockchain-based digital won tests.
They will also work with the well-known American blockchain firm, ConsenSys.
