👉 CME Bitcoin Futures Hit Record 3.4% Discount
Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) Bitcoin futures contracts have just reached a record discount relative to spot prices, measuring at 3.36%.
The previous largest discount on the trading instrument was 2.39% on July 21, 2021 – which was followed by a significant short-squeeze and subsequent rally to all-time highs.
Possible explanations mentioned include structural changes to ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF contracts, as well as general de-risking as the stock market becomes more turbulent.
👉 Ethereum Foundation Confirms September Merge Dates
The Ethereum Foundation has confirmed in a blog post that The Merge is set for September, with the two-part upgrade sticking to previously mentioned dates.
The “Bellatrix” upgrade will kick-start the process on September 6, while the actual proof-of-stake shift in the “Paris” upgrade will occur somewhere between September 10 and September 20.

Malaysian investment bank Kenanga is working closely with Chinese tech giant Ant Group to build a crypto-friendly “super app” – complete with a crypto wallet and trading features.
In addition to digital investment and crypto trading, the app will also include services such as stock trading, foreign currency exchange and more. It is due for launch in early 2023.
