CME Group Inc plans to launch “micro” Bitcoin and Ether options contracts toward the end of this month – subject to regulatory approval.

If approved by regulators, the micro options contracts will enable greater participation from retail traders, due to being one-tenth of the size of a BTC or ETH coin. Previously only easily accessible to institution-sized traders, smaller CME traders will now be able to execute more advanced trading strategies using options contracts.
