👉 Coinbase Invests 1.1M USDC into Uniswap and PoolTogether
Coinbase has invested a total of 1.1 million USDC into decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols Uniswap and PoolTogether, in its latest disbursement from its Boostrap Fund.
The fund, which was set up in September of last year, was designed to kick-start liquidity in budding DeFi projects. Uniswap is a popular decentralized exchange, while PoolTogether is a “free” crypto savings game.
👉 Amended Ripple Lawsuit Says XRP May Not be a Security
The latest amendment to a two-year class action – by XRP investors against Ripple – has added two “alternative” claims which operate under the theory that XRP is not a security.
The added claims appear to find compensation for XRP investors regardless of whether or not XRP is found to be a security, by claiming relief for cases of false advertising and unfair competition in violation of Californian laws.
👉 Bitcoin Mining Farm in Russia Stole $200k in Electricity per Month
A Russian Bitcoin mining farm was caught stealing more than $200,000 worth of state electricity per month, resulting in ten arrests.
The electricity was stolen from eight different facilities, with operations set up in several abandoned factories to remain hidden. Proceeds from mining were sent to foreign exchanges and liquidated into other cryptocurrencies.
