Coinstar machines are popular ATM-style kiosks across North America that allow you to convert your loose change into banknotes, gift cards, or charity donations.

The machines will now allow you to purchase Bitcoin. Unfortunately, the fees are quite high: users report the price of Bitcoin being $300-400 higher than with alternative purchasing services such as Coinbase.

There’s a growing amount of malware targeting cryptocurrency users. In particular, we’ve seen sly tools which can replace copy-pasted addresses, ultimately causing you to send cryptocurrency to the scammer, as well as various Trojans which access the clipboard.

YouTube has fallen pray to a whole host of malicious videos claiming to offer free Bitcoin generators. The downloads provided in these videos are Trojan horses which access the user’s data, also replacing any cryptocurrency addresses with the scammers’ own.

Binance has recently been shuffling some funds around between its cold wallets. In fact, the paltform managed to move a whopping $1.26 billion of Bitcoin — in two transactions — for a total fee of just $124.
