South Korea passed a bill amendment today, which officially brings the ownership and trade of cryptocurrency into the country’s legal system.
The amendment does, however, mean greater oversight an regulation upon the space, which may force smaller, non-compliant exchanges out of the market.
All businesses encapsulated by the new law have been given a deadline of September 2021, to become fully compliant.

The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has posted an official warning on its website regarding crypto-derivatives platform BitMEX.
The statement highlights the fact that BitMEX is not authorized to provide services within the UK, and hints that the website may be an “investment scam”.

Data researcher Geoff Golberg is suing Twitter for unfairly removing his account, following hundreds of “inauthentic” accounts reporting him.
Golberg had previously uncovered an army of Twitter “bot” accounts, which were promoting the XRP cryptocurrency.
