👉 Deloitte migrating clients to VeChain
Deloitte is one of the Big Four accounting firms, and with over 40 billion dollars of revenue in 2018, the “big” descriptor is pretty accurate. The firm has already begun using blockchain, having previously stored client materials on the Ethereum chain.
Recently, Deloitte has been migrating its client work from Ethereum to VeChain, supposedly due to the project’s enterprise-oriented nature. It’s believed that this is what caused VeChain to overtake Bitcoin in the number of transactions processed yesterday.
👉 Elon Musk tweets “Ethereum”
Elon Musk is the man behind Tesla, the eletric automotive giant, and SpaceX, the private space exploration company. He has quite the following on social media — especially on Twitter.
Continuing the trend of his recent cryptocurrency and blockchain-related tweets, Elon Musk just posted the one word tweet “Ethereum” on his page. One Reddit user jokes that he may be testing how the market responds to his crypto tweets.
👉 Bakkt acquires crypto custodian
Bakkt is the cryptocurrency project backed up by the Intercontinental Exchange, and we talked about it a lot on the newsletter before its approvals by regulatory bodies were repeatedly delayed.
The cryptocurrency trading platform recently acquired a cryptocurrency custodian firm — Digital Asset Custody Company — in the hopes that it can speed up approval by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
