👉 Digital Euro Would Complement, But Not Replace Current System

A recent European Central Bank meeting mentioned that a digital Euro would exist alongside, rather than replace existing systems.

According to The Block, European officials will soon decide if they are going to proceed with creating and launching a digital Euro.

The Governor of Banque de France stressed that the digital Euro would not replace the recently-launched European Payments Initiative, which was launched this year.

Bitstamp has announced that it has integrated a new order-matching engine, using the same technology used by Nasdaq.

The new matching engine is reportedly up to 1,250 times faster than the previous one, and will also raise the platform’s overall throughput by 400 times.

The upgrade will be most noticeable to high-frequency traders and API users.
