👉 Ethereum 2.0 Testnet Launched, Already has Almost 20,000 Validators

The Ethereum 2.0 testnet had its genesis block mined on April 18, and has already reached almost 20,000 validators. Validators are the equivalent of miners in the networks new proof-of-stake consensus mechanism.

At least 32 ETH must be staked to become a validator on the new network, which is expected to launch its mainnet in July of this year.

👉 Chinese EOS Wallet Shuts Down, $52M of User Funds Missing

A Chinese-based EOS wallet called EOS Ecosystem has reportedly shut down the platform and disappeared with $52 million worth of user funds.

Investors noticed that they were unable to access funds in their EOS Ecosystem wallets as early as Monday, and it appears that most of the funds have been removed from the service’s account.

👉 dForce Hack Update: Almost All $25M of Funds Have Been Returned

Almost all of the $25 million worth of funds stolen in an exploit of dForce’s decentralized lending protocol have been returned.

The hacker began to return the stolen funds yesterday, following negotiations with the dForce team. The reason for returning the tokens is not yet known.
