👉 Ethereum Enables Staking Withdrawals As Shapella Goes Live

The Ethereum network’s Shapella upgrade has been successfully implemented, enabling staked ETH withdrawals for users who previously had no way to retrieve their funds after staking.

Glassnode predicted that only around 1% of staked ETH may hit the market after Shapella goes live, and only 253 depositors have signed up to withdraw their staked ETH positions. Crypto exchanges like Coinbase and BitGo have already enabled withdrawals, while Binance will support withdrawals on April 19.

The price of Ether has surpassed $2,000, despite fears of a new supply of ETH hitting the markets.

👉 London Stock Exchange Group To Clear Bitcoin Futures & Options

LCH, the clearinghouse arm of the London Stock Exchange Group, announced that it will provide clearing services for cash-settled Bitcoin index futures and options.

The service will be provided through LCH DigitalAssetClear, a separate service part of the company’s French arm. The move represents a growing interest among institutional investors in accessing the regulated environment for crypto trading.

FTT, the crypto-token linked to the now-defunct crypto exchange FTX, surged after the exchange’s legal team suggested that it could potentially be revived as part of a broader reorganization plan.

Although no plan has been presented yet, FTT jumped to just over $3, trading volumes also rose. The exchange’s legal team plans to submit a reorganization plan in July.

Meanwhile, the bankruptcy court denied former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried’s request to use a $10 million insurance policy to help pay his legal bills.
