👉 Wright asks for 30 days extension to pay 500K BTC
Craig Wright is a well-known Bitcoin SV proponent who has repeatedly claimed to be the creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto. He recently lost a court case against the Kleiman estate, whereby the judge ordered him to pay 500 thousand Bitcoin.
Today, Wright’s lawyers submitted a request for a 30 day extension to the payment period, which would allow Wright to come to a revised, private settlement.
👉 Former Ripple CTO to grant $100m for content monetization
Stefan Thomas is the former CTO of Ripple, the major cryptocurrency organization that has spearheaded the development of XRP, a currency with a market capitalization close to $2 billion.
Thomas has pledged to grant $100 million to projects that will find new, non-advertising approaches to content monetization. The grant is part of his latest venture, Coil.
👉 EOS accused of centralization and manipulation
EOS is a cryptocurrency project that uses Distrubuted Proof of Stake (DPoS), which means that decision-making on the blockchain is powered by delegates who are voted in on behalf of holders.
EOS has recently come under fire for being too centralized. The entire blockchain is managed by 21 so-called block producers, and there are allegations that manipulation is controlling which producers are in charge.
