👉 US Federal Highway Administration to Fund Blockchain Research

A division within the US Department of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration, is funding blockchain research to transform highway engineering.

Some of the use cases of interest are vehicle certificate management, and highway pricing. The Administration has also expressed interest in anonymizing data surrounding the pickup, transfer, and delivery of goods.

👉 RSK Releases Bridge Between Bitcoin and Ethereum

A new interoperability bridge between Bitcoin and Ethereum has been launched by RSK, a Bitcoin sidechain.

The bridge enables tokens to pass between the two blockchains, by locking tokens on one chain, and issuing them on the other.

👉 Switzerland to Enforce KYC for Crypto Exchanges of over $1000

An anti-money laundering provision has been passed in Switzerland, which will lower the threshold for unidentified cryptocurrency transactions.

The provision will require any persons who engage in a cryptocurrency exchange of over $1000 to identify themselves to the involved financial providers.
