👉 FTX Exchange Announces Push Into Europe

Major cryptocurrency exchange FTX has announced that it will be making a push into Europe, with a new entity headquartered in Switzerland.

FTX just acquired approval form financial regulators in Cyprus and will begin to offer products to European customers, via a firm with licenses across the European Economic Area (EEA).

Founder and CEO Sam Bankman-Fried says that the exchange will be working closely with regulators across Europe to provide a safe and secure crypto trading environment.

👉 Renowned DeFi Developer Andre Cronje Steps Down, Fantom TVL Falls

Renowned DeFi developer Andre Cronje has stepped away from the cryptocurrency industry, entirely removing himself from all projects. The announcement was made not by Cronje himself, but by Fantom Foundation colleague Anton Neil, via Twitter.

Cronje was well-known for his involvement in around 25 apps and services including yearn.finance. The fate of each of the apps is now up in the air, with total value locked (TVL) falling on the Fantom blockchain.

👉 NFT Scaling Platform Immutable Raises $200M In Series C Funding

Immutable, a scaling platform aimed at improving the use of non fungible tokens (NFTs), has raised $200 million in its Series C funding round.

The raise was led by Singapore state investment fund Temasek, with participation from Tencent Holdings and others. Immutable now stands at a substantial $2.5 billion total valuation.
