👉 Gemini Exchange to Offer Custody of .crypto Domains
Gemini Exchange is now offering custody for .crypto blockchain domains – Ethereum-based domain registries which can interact with cryptocurrencies.
The service primarily targets registrars of traditional DNS domains, who will use it to enable customers to more easily purchase blockchain domains without needing to store blockchain assets themselves.
.crypto domains were first introduced by Unstoppable Domains late last year. They allow users to connect any cryptocurrency address to their domain, enabling payments and other features.
👉 Crypto Broker Bitcoin Suisse Raises $48.6M in Series A Funding
Bitcoin Suisse, a crypto broker based in Switzerland, has raised $48.6 million in Series-A funding, valuing the company at USD$327 million.
The funding round was lead by the Vontobel bank’s former head of investment banking, and also included several strategic business partners and private investors.
The funding will be used to scale the company and launch a new suite of digital asset services.
👉 Opera Web Browser’s Crypto Wallets Report 170K Monthly Users
Norwegian browser Opera has reported figures of 170,000 monthly active users on its built-in cryptocurrency wallets, which support Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tron.
The number is still very small relative to the number of monthly active users of the browser itself – which stands at 360 million – however is comparable to other wallet providers. For comparison, MetaMask reported 192,000 monthly active users in May 2019.
