Winklevoss-owned cryptocurrency exchange, Gemini, is looking to enter the derivatives market, according to a job posting.

The job listing seeks to hire a Director of Derivatives for the exchange, who will to “build a best in class derivatives platform”.

The individual requires experience in “managing strategy and operations of exchange services” and should be able to take the derivative strategy to market.

A report by JPMorgan and consulting firm Oliver Wyman has concluded that a central bank digital currency (CBDC) could save global companies more than $100 billion per year in transaction costs.

The figure may be conservative, due to excluding additional hidden costs that may arise from trapped liquidity and delays in settlements.
