Chicago-based CME Group is looking at offering futures contracts for Solana (SOL) and Cardano (ADA), based on popular demand from clients.

CME Group is already renowned for its Bitcoin and Ether futures contracts, but may expand to cryptocurrencies with smaller market caps – provided that it can secure reliable price indexes and regulatory requirements.

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has rejected yet another spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) application, this time from Cathie Wood’s Ark 21Shares.

According to the SEC’s response, the commission concluded that the proposal did not demonstrate the ability to be ‘designed to prevent fraudulent and manipulative acts and practices’ or protect investors.
