Google reaches out to Ethereum founder

Vitalik Buterin is the Russian-Canadian creator of Ethereum (ETH, #2), one of the most unique and influential cryptocurrencies in existence. He’s heavily praised for continuing to work on the project to this day.

Ripple featured on Ellen Degeneres show

Ripple (XRP, #3) enthusiasts are often making big and bold donations — and just recently a joint Ripple donation from actor Ashton Kutcher and talk-show host Ellen Degeneres was announced on her eponymous show.

Some cynics have brushed the donation off as nothing more than a shill — but it’s hard to deny that $4 million isn’t a significant amount of money.
