JPMorgan Chase has been reported to be seeking a merger of its blockchain unit, with well-known Ethereum tech company Consensys.

The blockchain unit, called Quorum, is also Ethereum-based, and has a team of 25 members worldwide.They have previously worked with Consensys in joint initiatives.

Recorded Future has published a report claiming that North Korea has made a conscious effort to ramp up cryptocurrency mining operations, with a focus on Monero.

Whereas the country was mining Bitcoin and Monero equally last year, this year has shown a “tenfold increase in Monero mining activity from North Korean IP ranges”.
