Blockchain music streaming platform Audius has raised $5 million in new funding from top music artists including Katy Perry and Jason Derulo.
Audius already claims to have almost 6 million active users per month, with the competitive advantage of letting artists own their music – unlike Spotify.
Other investors in the round included Nas, The Chainsmokers, Pusha T, Mike Shinoda and Disclosure.

The Avalanche Foundation has raised a significant $230 million from Polychain Capital, Three Arrows Capital and others for jumpstarting liquidity in the Avalanche (AVAX) ecosystem.
The liquidity will contribute to the growth of decentralized finance (DeFi) on the Avalanche blockchain, which has already seen an influx of $2.6 billion in total value locked (TVL).
