Ledger, the well-known cryptocurrency hardware wallet company, has raised $380 million in Series C funding for expansion into decentralized finance (DeFi).

The funding round included contributions from Cathay Innovation, Draper Associates and others, now placing Ledger at a $1.5 billion valuation.

Ledger plans to use the funds to develop new products and add DeFi solutions to its “Ledger Live” software.
