Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro has created 6 new funds backed by the government’s infamous petro cryptocurrency, in an effort to legitimize the currency.

Maduro has also recently acknowledged that the Venezuelan government owns both Bitcoin and Ether as part of its international reserves.

👉 India’s Hearing for Cryptocurrency Ban Postponed

The Supreme Court hearing regarding India’s ban on crypto-related bank activity has been postponed until November.

The ban, initiated by the Reserve Bank of India, will prohibit all banks and financial institutions from providing services related to crypto assets.

It’s been a productive month for Bitcoin mining, with all-time mining revenue leaping by a full $1 Billion over the last two months.

This puts total revenue for Bitcoin mining at $15 Billion since it’s inception. This includes all block rewards and transaction fees taken by miners.
