PayPal is the first company to withdraw their involvement with Facebook’s Libra project, but has not yet offered a reason for doing so.

A total of 27 organizations remain part of an alliance helping to develop the cryptocurrency project, which still includes big names such as Visa and Uber.

Olaf Schloz, German minister of finance has expressed his support of the idea of a digitized Euro, stating that it would be good for Europe.
