👉 Shanghai Gas Group to Launch Energy Platform with VeChain

Shanghai Gas Group Co Ltd are furthering plans with VeChain to build an energy-as-a-service platform based on blockchain. The system will involve the management of logistics, energy trading and new financial products focused on the energy industry.

The two companies had previously collaborated to improve processes behind liquified natural gas, in a pilot program named the Blockchain-Enabled LNG Solution.

👉 New User Sign-Ups Surge on Crypto Exchanges

Five cryptocurrency exchanges have reported a significant surge in new user sign-ups during the month of March, despite the recent crash in cryptocurrency prices.

Kraken reported an 83% increase in new users, while Paxful saw an increase of 100%. Other platforms observing increases have included Bitfinex, OKEx and Luno.

👉 Russian Law to Ban Crypto Delayed Due to COVID-19

The adoption of a law which would ban the use of cryptocurrency as payment in Russia has been postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The piece of legislation will bring a clearer definition to digital assets, but will prohibit their use as a means of payment. The bill will still allow cryptocurrency exchanges to operate and does not mention cryptocurrency mining.
