👉 Stripe To Resume BTC Payments Via OpenNode & Lightning Network

Payments firm Stripe is once again enabling users to convert balances and incoming payments to Bitcoin, in a new partnership with OpenNode – a Lightning Network-based company.

The move will be the first time in four years that Stripe has provided such a feature, which was initially removed due to high network fees and slow transaction times. The company has acknowledged that the Lightning Network has provided a solution to those problems.

Stripe’s app providing the feature is expected to launch within a few weeks’ time.

👉 Andreessen Horowitz Launches Fourth Crypto Fund, Worth $4.5B

Andreessen Horowitz has announced its fourth crypto-focused investment fund, this time securing $4.5 billion in capital. $1.5 billion will be allocated to seed investments, with the rest to be focused on venture investments.

In particular, the company has expressed an interest in DeFi, blockchain gaming, decentralized social media and NFTs. To date, Andreessen Horowitz has raised a total $7.6 billion for its funds.

Do Kwon’s Terra blockchain relaunch proposal has passed the governance process, finishing with 65.5% approval by the community. As a result, new LUNA 2.0 tokens will be created and airdropped proportionally to those affected by the collapse of the original chain.

The new chain is expected to launch on mainnet on Friday this week, with many of the new tokens subject to vesting periods for holders. No UST stablecoin will exist on the new network.
