๐Ÿ‘‰ Thailand & Cayman Islands Regulators Cracking Down On Binance

The Thai Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) are cracking down on popular crypto exchange Binance.

A criminal complaint has been filed by the Thai SEC against Binance for allegedly operating a crypto business without a license, while the Cayman Islands CIMA has also declared that entities like Binance are unauthorized to operate out of the country.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Bitcoin Active Addresses Plunge To One-Year Lows

Data from blockchain analytics company Glassnode has shown that the 7-day moving average for Bitcoin active addresses has fallen to the lowest figures since April 2020.

Charlie Morris, CIO of ByteTree Asset Management, claims that the metric is a sign of “weak demand” and that “the hype cycle is over for now”.

NFT Gaming company Animoca has raised an additional $50 million in funding from Coinbase Ventures and others, adding to its previous funding round of almost $89 million in May.

The fundraising values the company at $1 billion, with previous investors including Samsung Venture Investment Corporation, Razerโ€™s zVentures and Korea Investment Partners.
