Details have become available for the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s lawsuit against Ripple, which was filed in federal district court in Manhattan.

The SEC is alleging that Ripple’s XRP token is classified as a security and that the token has been sold via an unregistered, ongoing securities offering since 2013.

The suit also alleges that Ripple founders and executives failed to register their own personal XRP sales, which are estimated at $600 million.

UK-based cryptocurrency exchange EXMO has updated estimates for losses from its recent hack, saying that 6% of its crypto assets were taken.
